It fits more with the types of things Ward was doing for TV than it ever did the theater cartoons (which by then were fading out after obsessing about Chip and Dale (for Donald AND for Pluto), or the Humphrey Bear sets). Seen in the fuller picture of Disneyana, it easily fits alongside Spectrum Song up to Dad Can I Borrow The Car and many of the original educational episodes of WWoC/WWoD from that decade.<br /><br />They picked up from Ward's work as a sign of things to come in the 60s, rather than as a final hurrah of the Donald of the 50s.
